Quiet Amusement Park
Recollect the wonderland of our childhood, an unknown yet fascinating
world of color and illusions. Picture yourself scrambling up a haystack
to reach for the stars, or digging for precious stones buried in the
kaleidoscopic underwater world beneath the surface of the ice. As time
goes by, you have ventured into the strange world of the magic cube
where ever-rotating colorful squares appear to have a life of their
own. You use all your imaginative power to match up the colors, but are
unsuccessful, when it suddenly occurs to you that perhaps many things
only exist in our imagination. You can see them, feel them breathing,
but you cannot touch them.
Visualize the senses melting into a hazy blur when greeting the dawn in
the aftermath of an all-night party, when everything becomes a distant
memory. Contemplate the poetry of the toy motorbike on the beach,
silently telling its own melancholic story. Don’t let its destruction
and desertion mask the glorious life it once led. Everything in the
world has its days of glory, bears the tests of time, and withholds the
secrets of life. Objects, like people, have life spans. Some things
however, have the ability to recycle themselves. Everything is changing
and developing, anything can happen in the Quiet Amusement Park.
